There was a mom, a dad, and their kid named Sofie. They owned a big house and a nice car but the one thing they owned that they loved the most was their BEACH. They had BBQs on the sand and roasted marshmallows.
It was a Sunday in May and Sofie asked her parents if she could go swimming.
“No!” Sofie’s mom was very strict. Sofie did what she was told. After she was done with her dinner she ran upstairs and went right to sleep. When she woke up she got a piece of paper and a pencil and wrote a plan down.
She was going to do this:
1. Get a rope
2. Grab some snacks
3. Get a bathing suit
4. Find a magnifying glass
5. Find a tent
When Sofie found all these things she said to herself ‘Now I’m ready’. In a flash she tied a rope so she could get down from her second floor window. She put her bag on with her things in it. She also grabbed her pink tent. Then she looked back at her room and she said, “Bye.”
She climbed down the rope and ran down the stairs to the beach. The beach was very big and the water was as clear as glass. After Sofie went up and down the beach she found a good spot to set up the camp. It was in a cave.
It started to rain. Then Sofie said, I’ll put out a cup to get water.” That night she could not sleep. She heard a sound. It was a splash. She got up to go see what it was. She got out. Her family was there and said, “Happy birthday.” Sofie had not remembered that it was her birthday. Her parents gave her a hamster and a new boat. In a flash she ran into the water and asked for everyone to come on the boat. She had the best beach day ever …. except for when she got in trouble by her parents for sneaking out!
