Ruby Bridges’ new school was called William Frantz school. Rudy Bridges got in because she passed a very hard test. Her mom wanted her to go but her dad was afraid and did not want integration. Her ended up getting fired from his job when people found out that Ruby changed schools.
Ruby’s teacher was named Miss Henry. She was from Boston and in Boston they really did not care about skin color. The other kids did not want to go to the school because they didn’t want to integrate. Instead they said bad words and some people threatened to kill Ruby and she was only six! She was protected by 4 U.S. Marshals.
